The birth, growth and proliferations of innovative solutions needs to have a favorable environment in which innovators can create solutions to address the community’s problems. The performance of this environment varies a lot depending on the absence or presence of the essential functions (or jobs-to be-done) that nurture innovation and entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship Training Workshop (ETW) is EDIs flagship entrepreneurship development program. The behavioral approach, which the ETW is based on, aims at developing entrepreneurship The training is a 6-day and 48 hours long course. EDC offers this training in three major local languages (Amharic, Afaan Oromoo, and Tigrigna) as well as in English.

This training is designed to support and promote entrepreneurship among women understanding the extra burden that women face in owning and running their businesses. The Women Entrepreneurship Training (WET) is a two-day intensive training with an emphasis on women entrepreneurs with limited business experience and/or at early stage of running business.

The Customized Entrepreneurship Training (CET) is a two-day training targeting entrepreneur with low literacy level and/or individuals with limited business experience. Participants are taken through a condensed behavioral and mind set change programme that introduces them to the Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies (PECs) .
